The 2023 International Workshop on Intelligentized Welding manufacturing (IWIWM'2023)

The 2023International Workshop onIntelligentizedWelding Manufacturing(IWIWM'2023), organizedby Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Nanyang Technological University, was held as scheduled from December 15-17, 2023 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Shanghai Buckingham Grand Hotel. The conference opened online branch venues at Lanzhou University of Technology, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, and JiangsuBeirenIntelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. Over 300 attendees, both domestic and foreign representatives, participated in the conference either in-person or online.

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Lin Tao, Executive Chairman of the IWIWM2023 Conference and rotating director of the Robotics and Automation Professional Committee of the Chinese Welding Society.

The guests who attended the conference speeches and invited keynote speeches include: Prof. Wu Lin from Harbin Institute of Technology, former Vice President of the International Welding Society (IIW) , former Chairman of the Chinese Welding Society, one of the founders of the field of robotic welding technology in China; Prof. Lin Shangyang, academician of the CAE Member, the director of the Technical Committee of Harbin Welding Research Institute, and the chief technical expert of the Chinese General Academy of Mechanical Science and Prof. Song Tianhu, former Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the former Chairman of the Welding Society of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, made online speeches respectively; Prof. Zhou Wei, president of the International Society of Intelligent Manufacturing and professor of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, attended the meeting and gave a speech; Prof. Li Zhuguo, Deputy Director of the Welding Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering and Vice Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, attended the meeting and gave a speech on behalf of the Welding Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; During the meetingProf. Chen Shanben, the chairman of this conference, former director of the Robotics and Automation Professional Committee of the Chinese Welding Society, Changjiang Scholar from the Ministry of Education, and professor of the School of Materials Science and Technology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, gave a speech of thanks.

At this conference, enterprise experts and scholars from universities gave group reports in Chinese and English on the themes of international robot welding, intelligence and automation, and arranged for conference representatives to go to Suzhou for on-site inspections and technical visits to Jiangsu Beiren Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. The research and application issues of intelligent welding manufacturing technology and its future progress were discussed with attending experts, scholars and corporate technicians, establishing a good communication bridge for future exchanges between scholars.
